Emily joins us on Monday and brings our class total up to 14 students. Welcome Emily, its so nice to have you here.
On Wednesday we had Mufti Day - all of Room 10 took part and helped support Room 7's Bring a Bottle Mufti Day, all donations going towards St Albans School Market Day. On Wednesday afternoons we have Discovery - where the children choose how and what to play with - look at some of the things we did this week...... Today we visited Ferrymead Heritage Park and learnt how life was for children 100 years ago. These are some of the activities we got up to.... Mr Black was a very strict schoolmaster. The boys had to sit on one side of the classroom and the girls on the other, no talking allowed! Thankfully after visiting the schoolhouse we got to relax on the tram. Then we got to play some heritage games like walking on stilts, blowing bubbles, spinning tops and knuckle bones. We helped Mrs Grey with all her housework. Then we got to play some games in the playground - What's The Time Mr Wolf, Farmer, Farmer, and Arabella Who Has The Ball? Today we went on a Pirate Scavenger Hunt to find things in the school that start with the letter P. We found pens, pencils, paper, photos, pumpkins, people (thanks Room 8!) and a pole
Thank you so much to all the Grandparents who came and shared their school days with us in Room 10. We learnt so much from you all and had a great time doing the hoola hoop and skipping. Then the rain held off and we got to share our Folk Dancing skills. |
